The idea is to superimpose a material transperant to laser beam and another material, absorbing it. When the beam strikes the whole of it, a merger of absorbent material is obtained at the interface. It is then by heat conduction that the transparent material will rise in temperature. During cooling, a solid connection is established between the two elements.
